How it all began
Do you remember when and why you decided to move to the Netherlands?
I decided to come right after my 18th birthday. I’m 20 now — almost 21 — so it’s been quite a journey. The first time I came, it was supposed to be just for work — three months, I said. After three months, I told myself: “I’ll come back after five.” But then… I stayed for a whole year.
So, something clearly clicked!
Yes! I really liked the people. Everyone was friendly, no one judged foreigners. The only thing I needed to get used to was the weather — one minute sun, one minute rain. But even that became part of the charm
DP World
You’re working at DP World now — how’s that experience?
I love it. I already had warehouse experience, so it was easy to fit in. I work with Canon products — packing, sealing, sending boxes. The atmosphere is great.
People are friendly, supervisors help, and there’s a lot of teamwork. When one department is busy, we help each other.
What do you like most?
The schedule — 07:45 to 16:45. Perfect hours. You can also do overtime if you want. And the communication — supervisors care, they ask how we are, if something’s wrong, even with the car. That’s rare.

Everyone is smiling — even on Mondays. I always think it’s Friday.

Life in the Netherlands
What do you do in your free time?
I love shopping, trying new restaurants — Korean, Chinese, Dutch, everything! I go to carnivals, festivals, and in winter I like skating on ice.
Do you see yourself staying here long-term?
Yes. I want to build a home here.
